Hanoi and Halong are two of the most interesting and beautiful places, which you would not miss when, travel to the North Vietnam. This package is ideal for you to explore the most highlights that Hanoi and Halong has to offer in the shortest time.
Short Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Hanoi. Take half day city tour on Cyclo. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Take full day Hanoi city tour. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Full day tour to Halong. Take 4-5 hours cruise on the Bay. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 4: Departing.
Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-,-,D)
Upon your arrival at the airport/ train station, your will be met and transferred to hotel in Hanoi Center. In late afternoon take a cyclo ride through Hanoi Ancient Street and enjoy a tasty dinner at a nice restaurant, followed by a Traditional Water Puppet show.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B,L,-)
You will commence the day with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Mausoleum, the Museum and the One Pillar Pagoda. The next visit is to Temple of Literature, the first University of Vietnam. You will then have a 20 minutes drive to Museum of Ethnology, the research centre and public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. After enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant, you will come to the Westlake, where you either take time for relaxing at a lake-view café or visit Tran Quoc Temple or Quan Thanh Temple. You will then come to the downtown of Hanoi, the Restored Sword Lake, where you will visit the Ngoc Son Temple. From here, you will have a walk into the Old Quarter, visiting a gallery, shopping for some souvenirs… before having a transfer back to your hotel.
Day 3: Halong - Hanoi (B,L,-)
At 08h30 AM, you start out on your journey from Hanoi, enjoying the beautiful Red River Delta with its scenery of rice fields, water buffalo. Upon arrival in Ha Long wharf, you’ll get on board a boat and enjoy a well-prepared lunch with the local fresh seafood, while the junk cruises among thousand of strange shaped limestone islands. You will have an opportunity to visit the Surprise Grotto and have a swim either at the Titov beach and follow the steps all the way up to the top for an overview of the Bay’s remarkable seascape, or at nearby tranquil site. At about 16h00 PM, the Junk will disembark at Halong wharf where your bus is waiting to transfer you back to Hanoi. You’ll arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Hanoi (B,-,-)
Full day free at your disposal or joining one of our other interesting packages.
Note: The program on day 2 is subjected to change according to availability. All the museums are closed on Monday; the Ho Chi Minh Complex is closed on Monday and Friday.
