Short Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Hanoi. Take half day city tour on Cyclo. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi
Day 2: Take full day Hanoi city tour. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc. Overnight in Tam Coc.
Day 4: Tam Coc – Ninh Binh – Thai Binh – Halong. Cruising on Halong Bay. Overnight on boat.
Day 5: Morning cruising on Halong Bay. Back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi
Day 6: Day free.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-,-,D)
Upon your arrival at the airport/ train station, you will be met and transferred to hotel in Hanoi Center. In late afternoon take a cyclo ride through Hanoi Ancient Street and enjoy a tasty dinner at a nice restaurant, followed by a Traditional Water Puppet show.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour (B,L,-)
You will commence the day with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the Mausoleum, the Museum and the One Pillar Pagoda. The next visit is to Temple of Literature, the first University of Vietnam. You will then have a 20 minutes drive to Museum of Ethnology, the research centre and public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. After enjoy lunch at a nice restaurant, you will come to the Westlake, where you either take time for relaxing at a lake-view café or visit Tran Quoc Temple or Quan Thanh Temple. You will then come to the downtown of Hanoi, the Restored Sword Lake, where you will visit the Ngoc Son Temple. From here, you will have a walk into the Old Quarter, visiting a gallery, shopping for some souvenirs… before having a transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc (B,L,D)
Today starts with a 2 hours drive to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10th century under Dinh and Le Dynasty Hoa Lu. Hoa Lu has been the political centre of the country until 1010, when Ly Cong Uan founded the Ly dynasty and moved the capital to Thang Long (present-day Hanoi). During the 43 years of existence under the two dynasties, Hoa Lu became one of Vietnam’s ancient capitals with distinctive stone architecture decorated with famous stone carvings.
After visiting the Temple of Dinh and Le Kings, you will get on the bikes and start the 1 and haft hour cycling trip to Tam Coc. The ride is following a hidden small paved road running through the beautiful landscapes made of rice fields and limestone Islets, called “Halong Bay on Land”, surely make your ride shorter. You will check in and enjoy lunch at your hotel Tam Coc. In the afternoon, you will get on the rowing boat and start a cruise into Tam Coc’s peaceful and beautiful landscape. The cruise gives you a perfect time to enjoy the fresh feeling of the country side of Vietnam when your boat goes along green rice paddy, set between the limestone Islets.

Day 4: Tam Coc – Ninh Binh – Thai Binh - Halong Bay (B,L,D)
You will rise up early today for the drive to Halong Bay on No 10 Road, which run through the Red River Delta.. Upon arrival in Ha long Bay you will get on board your own traditional-style junk. You enjoy a delicious seafood lunch before you visit one of the many caves in the area after that there is time for a swim. The Halong bay is another of Vietnam’s natural wonders. Thousands of limestone islands rise from the sea which makes the whole bay spectacular scenery. Today you stay overnight on the boat.

Day 5: Halong Bay and return to Hanoi (B,L,-)
You enjoy a swim after breakfast and begin your journey back to the harbor near Halong city. Before you reach land you enjoy the last seafood lunch on the boat. You will arrive back in Hanoi in mid afternoon.

Day 6: Hanoi (B,-,-)
Full day free at your disposal or joining one of our other interesting packages.
