Short Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Saigon.
Day 2 : Visit Cu Chi Tunnels and half day tour around Saigon
Day 3: Cruise on canals in Cai Be. Overnight in Local House in Dong Hoa Hiep Island.
Day 4: Continue the cruise. Stay overnight in Can Tho.
Day 5: Visit the Cai Rang floating market. Transfer back to Saigon

Detail Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City (-,-,D)
You will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City Airport, where your guide and driver are waiting to transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure with an optional of a short walk around the downtown, accompany by your guide. In the evening you will enjoy your dinner with Saigon and Vietnamese Traditional food in a nice restaurant.
Day 2: Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City City Tour (B,L,-)
The guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel then drive to Cu Chi. Cu Chi Tunnels are located approximately 30 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City in Cu Chi district. On the way to Cu Chi tunnels, you enjoy spectacular view of paddy fields. After that you will go to Ben Dinh tunnels. First you see documentary film about guerillas war in Cu Chi district. Then you walk around the tunnel area to see Bomb crates, underground bunkers, deadly traps, ... try tunnels to see how guerillas could live, fight and survive during the war. You can feel the atmosphere of war. You will be back in Ho Chi Minh city at noon for having lunch, before starting the city tour by visiting Re-Unification Palace, the former Presidential Palace. You will then visit the nearby Central Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, which are in Romanesque art and French-style, and the War Remains Museum, where you can have a closer look of the Vietnam War. The tour will be end at Ben Thanh Market, where you can explore this huge market on your own, or at your hotel as your wishes.
Day 3:Saigon – Cai Be – Dong Hoa Hiep (-,L,D)
You commerce early from Saigon by taking a drive to Mekong Delta, the “rice basket” of Vietnam. You arrive at Phu An Hamlet’s pier in Cai Be at around 10h00, where you get on board the Cai Be Princess boat. You will visit the Cai Be floating market, a characteristic style of trading in Mekong Delta area. Your sampan will then bring you to see some local home factories to discover traditional rice paste making, rice pop corn, coco candies, and longans drying process.
At noon, you arrive at the La Residence de Phu An resort, a superb Indochina style resort located in a luxuriant garden by the river. Your lunch will be served in its Le Longanier restaurant.
After lunch, the cruise continues to Dong Hoa Hiep Island, located between Cai Be and Vinh Long. During the cruise, you enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong delta rural life. On the way you will make some stops to to discover some fruit markets and plantations such as bananas, water melon, coconuts, longans, and some very large paddy fields…. You will disembark your sampan at a riverside’s ancient mandarin house, where you will enjoy dinner and stay for tonight.
Day 4: Dong Hoa Hiep – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B,L,-)
After having breakfast, you will stay good bye to the friendly villagers and get back on board Cai Be Princess. During the morning cruise you will again experience the rural life style and daily activities of the delta inhabitants such as roofs making with palm tree leaves, a bricks and tiles artisan factory, net fishing… Your lunch will await you at a fruit orchard plantation near Binh Hoa Phuc islet. After lunch, you will continue the cruise along Dong Phu canal, passing the An Binh islet, famous for their fruit orchards, and end at Vinh Long Pier, where your vehicle is waiting to transfer you to Can Tho. Overnight in a hotel in Can Tho.
Day 5:Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Village - Saigon (B,L,-)
Today you will rise up early for another cruise to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market. It is an opportunity to experience and understand precisely how important the Mekong River is for the Delta. Cai Rang is the main wholesale floating market near Can Tho, where hundreds of boats gathering every morning. A piece of fruit or a vegetable hanged on a pole at the bow signifying what is for sale on each boat.
Having explored the market you will continue your cruise to visit an orchard garden or a family’s rice pancake workshop. The cruise will end at the North Bank of the Can Tho river, where you get on your vehicle for the journey back to Saigon, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant in My Tho.
