Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap and Sunset over Angkor Wat and Western Baray (-/-/-)

Upon arrival in Siem Reap airport, you are welcomed by tour guide and have a transfer to your hotel.
In the late afternoon you have a short transfer to walk up the top of Bakheng Hill where you will have bird’s-eye view Angkor Wat and Western Baray in the sunset.

Day 2: Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat (B/L/-)

You rise up early in the morning for an interesting ride by TukTuk to enjoy the sunrise at Angkor Wat and return back to hotel for breakfast.
Tuktuk is also your mean of transport for full day trip. You first visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom Complex, including some of the Angko’s most important monuments: the Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and the terrace of the Leper King. The Bayon, a forest of heads, was the King’s state temple. The terrace of elephants was used to be a base for the king’s grand audience hall. Lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit the amazing Ta prohm temple, which has been deliberately left as it was discovered. You the visit the most perfect Khmer temple: the Angkor Wat. It has proved that the Khmer art had reached its highest glory in the 12th century.

Day 3: The hidden Beng Mealea Temple and Tonle Sap Lake (B/L/-)

The excursion today commence with a 60km drive to the remote Beng Mealea temple through the typical Khmer countryside. There is a lot to see in the approximately 2½ hours drive as it takes you through lively villages and along kilometers of rice paddies. Beng Mealea is located inside a jungle and built as a Hindu temple. The unrestored temple is in fairy ruinous state but still maintain all its mystery and charm, a prime example of Angkor’s jungle temple. Your lunch is served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon you will visit the floating village of Kampong Pluk. In the village, most of the houses are on stilts of about 6m or 7m high built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap. The villagers are primarily Khmer and have about 3000 inhabitants between them. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wild life including crab-eating macaques. After enjoying the beautiful sunset on Tonle Sap Lake, you have a transfer back to Siem Reap.

Day 4: The Capital city of Phnom Penh (B/-/-)
You will have a drive to Siem Reap airport for the morning flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, you have a transfer to hotel for relaxing.
In the late afternoon, you will take a sunset cruise on mysterious Mekong River. During the cruise, you will see a different side of the city and experience how the local fishermen catching fish.

Day 5: Phnom Penh city tour (B/L/-)

You will start exploring the City, once known as “pearl of Asia”, with a visit to the National Museum. The museum possesses the world’s largest collections of Khmer art, which include the sandstone sculptures dating from both the Angkorean and pre-Angkorean eras. You will then visit the Royal Palace, home to the Cambodian Kings for over a century. The attached sacred Silver Pagoda is well known for its 5000 silver-tiled floor.
After enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant, you continue to explore Phnom Penh’s culture and history with the visits to Independence Monument, Wat Ounalom, the headquarter of Cambodia Buddhism and Wat Phnom, the symbol of Phnom Penh.

Day 6: The small beach town of Kep (B/-/-)

You are heading to the beach town of Kep by a 4 hour transfer (about 170km), enjoying the view of Cambodian countryside on the way.
The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 7: Day escape to Rabbit Island (B/L/-)

After enjoy your breakfast at hotel, you will take a walk along the beach of Kep for visiting the crab market and Kep town. You then take a boat trip to Rabbit Island, a beautiful and peaceful island located around 5kms from southeast of Kep city. Here you will enjoy the time for swimming or relaxing on the white beach of the island, probably enhancing your relaxation with a massage – with own expenses. In case you like fishing, the boat will bring you to the fishing place nearby the island.

Today is at your leisure. If you like another activity for today, there are hiking or cycling tour available for purchasing.

Day 9: Enter Vietnam and experience Mekong Delta (B/-/D)

You will be transferred by private vehicle to the nearby Ha Tien land border for immigration to Vietnam. Your Vietnamese local guide and driver are welcoming you at the border. You then have a drive to Long Xuyen town; from there you get your bike for a short ride to Tiger Island, passing the Bassac River, one of the two main branches of the mighty Mekong River, by ferry. In the afternoon, you will cycle around the island, and have the rest of the day to experience the daily life of the hospitable villagers living in Mekong Delta. You enjoy dinner together with the local house family, where you stay for tonight.

Day 10: Deeper into Mekong Delta on sampan (B/-/-)

The villagers in the tranquil area rise up early in the morning. After having breakfast at the homestay, you start visiting the Long Xuyen floating market, a characteristic style of trading in Mekong Delta area, by a small boat. It is an opportunity to experience and understand precisely how important the Mekong River is for the Delta. Hundreds of boats gathering every morning, with a piece of fruit or a vegetable hanged on a pole at the bow signifying what is for sale on each boat.
You then have a drive toward Vinh Long town, set on the bank of the Tien River, another main branch of Mekong River, visiting the peaceful town of Sa Dec on the way. At Vinh Long’s pier, you will get on a small sampan for an exploring cruise along some of thousand small green canals, the best way to experience the local daily life. During the cruise, you will visit some workshops and taste some local specialty products. The cruise will end at a riverside resort, where you spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool.

Day 11: Saigon after dark with Vespa (B/-/D)

The day starts with a visit on bike to the nearby Cai Be market. There is opportunity to extend the cycling tour to visit the surrounding villages, or try the local ferries to Tan Phong Island.
You then leave the Mekong Delta and have a transfer to the Vietnam’s largest city: Ho Chi Minh City – Saigon. You will check in your hotel and have a rest of the afternoon at your leisure.
Time: 18:30 – 22:30
Pick up at hotel and first stop is to Café zoom to “watch the world goes by” (quoted by The Lonely Planet) and enjoy cocktail and appetizer (inclusive) before adventuring into favorite local eating spot. Guests experience the nightlife of Saigon the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter. The tour will start with a ride to part Chinatown and then heading to District 4 through busy streets and alleys to see the night life of locals and enjoy street sea- food and cold drinks, places that foreigner won’t be found. Leaving district 4 to district 3 the tour pass through downtown district 1 to take in the sights on the way to Banh Xeo, specialty of Saigon, and southern food with the locals. Then the tour will continue to a hidden Vietnamese-style coffee shop to have a taste of Vietnamese music (live) as a local. After this the tour will bring guest to a lively bar to enjoy the drinks with live music. Guests ride pillion behind our drivers.

Day 12: Cu Chi tunnels and Saigon City tour (B/L/-)

Cu Chi Tunnels are located approximately 70 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City in Cu Chi district. On the way to Cu Chi tunnels, you enjoy spectacular view of paddy fields. After that you will go to Ben Dinh tunnels. First you see documentary film about guerillas war in Cu Chi district. Then you walk around the tunnel area to see Bomb crates, underground bunkers, deadly traps, … Try tunnels to see how guerillas could live, fight and survive during the war. You can feel the atmosphere of war. You will be back in Ho Chi Minh city and enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant.
After lunch, you will start again for a half day city tour including a visit to Re-Unification Palace, the former Presidential Palace. You then visit the nearby Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral, which are in Romanesque art and French-style. Another destination is War Remains Museum, where you can have a closer look of the Vietnam War.

Day 13: Departure Saigon (B/-/-)

The day is at your leisure until having a transfer to Saigon airport for onward flight.
