Vietnam couldn’t be more family-friendly: crime levels are low, there’s loads to see and do, and the Vietnamese adore children. You’ll find that the country – and the people – will welcome your family with open arms every step of your Vietnam experience. Keeping kids entertained on holiday isn’t always easy, but we’ve managed to pick out the best handicraft and physical activities and adapt them so that they never get bored.
For hands-on kids, there’s lantern-making in Hoi An where kids can make their very own souvenirs. Or if your kids like their food, how about a cooking class? Vietnamese food is often fun to make and you’ll have something delicious to eat at the end of it. Alternatively, we can arrange dinners with local families so your kids can get an understanding of how their equals live on the other side of the world.
For active kids, there’s even more on offer. Sightseeing can sometimes be a drag with families, but we pick up the pace and keep kids entertained by cycling from sight to sight. In the mountains your kids can go hiking, in the sea they can try kayaking, and in-land they can get their hands dirty with some of the best caving opportunities in Asia.
Worried about accommodation? Don’t be. We hunt out family-friendly hotels with swimming pools, connecting rooms, and food menus that are good for kids.

“I love the simple things when I travel, like sitting outside a local coffee shop soaking up an amazing sunset over the Thu Bon River in Hoi An, or a steaming bowl of Hu Tieu with all the toppings on a Saigon sidewalk. I can’t wait to share with you our beautiful landscapes, friendly people, stunning cuisine and more in Vietnam.”
