Upon arrival to Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International or Domestic Airport, a Topas representative will welcome you to the land of the ascending dragon before heading straight to your hotel in the heart of the city. The day is at leisure to discover Saigon on your own, wandering the pulsating streets of District 1 along the river.

After breakfast, transfer by private car to Nam Cat Tien National Park, 180km north of Ho Chi Minh City and one of eight UNESCO biosphere reserves in the country. Arrive to Nam Cat Tien just in time for lunch served at your lodge, a longhouse made out of bamboo in the traditional style of the S’Tieng and Ma People, local minority groups in the area.

Stretch your legs with an afternoon mountain biking tour through the jungles of Nam Cat Tien, keeping your eyes open for gibbons and crocodiles! Head back to the lodge for dinner and a traditional dance and music performance by the local ethnic minorities, the Ma and Tay.

Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and fill up on breakfast before joining a 4-hour challenging trek to Green Hill. After enjoying a packed lunch, return to Ta Lai Village for an afternoon at leisure to enjoy the surroundings of the lodge.

Option activities include kayaking by the hour or visiting the Animal Rescue Center within the park to see the rehabilitation process for monkeys and bears. If you’re feeling especially brave, travel by jeep to Crocodile Lake, home to 200 crocodiles!

Leave the jungle and humidity behind after breakfast and head to the crisp air and mountains of the Central Highlands, in Da Lat, the eternal city of Spring, according to the Vietnamese. Just before entering the city, stop at Pinhatt Viewpoint, the highest mountain in Da Lat, for a panoramic view of  the city below, as well as Tuyen Lam Lake, Langbiang Mountain, and Truc Lam Meditation Hall.

Head north of Da Lat to Coffee Plantation K’Ho, a cooperative of K’Ho minority families who sustainably grow Arabica coffee on Lang Biang Mountain. Enjoy a traditionally cooked lunch before learning about the traditional methods of coffee processing, grading, roasting, and cupping. Then, sample the many kinds of coffees produced here on a taste test.

Return to Da Lat in the late afternoon to check-in to your cozy garden homestay and breathe in the fresh air.

Today is a free day to explore beautiful Da Lat independently, whether that means sitting at a café the whole day with a book and hot cup of coffee in hand, exploring the city center’s French-colonialism architecture, or strolling through flower and fruit gardens.

Da Lat may be known as a romantic, quiet city, but it also has an established reputation as an adventurer’s paradise, especially in regards to canyoning!

Depart Da Lat and head 10km out of the city, through deep valleys and pine forests to the canyoning preparation area, where you will be equipped with locking carabineers, rigging gear, floating vests, and helmets. Your guide will lead you through 18m of dry-cliff abseiling, water-sliding over eroded rocks, 15m high waterfall jumps, 7m or 11m free-jump cliffs, and finishing at the “washing-machine” cliff if you’re brave enough (abseiling with your back against the waterfall until the downpour pushes you out into a small pond)!

Arrive back to your hotel around 3pm, with the rest of the afternoon and evening free at leisure to relax after such an adrenaline-inducing day.
